When faced with a troublesome protein, sticking it to a well-behaved fusion partner is often a great way to solve your issues, but it is far from infallible. Many proteins will still aggregate, missfold, degrade, and cause toxic interactions, and they will keep doing so as long as they are free to float around and interact with their environment.
